Aquent’s client is looking for a seasoned and results-oriented Senior Conceptual Visual/UI Designer to craft the next generation if mobile, web, and desktop products. This is an exciting 6-month onsite contract opportunity in beautiful Santa Clara! Envision working with innovative and highly collaborative cross-functional teams to envision and realize new experiences.

What you’ll do:
• Partner with product managers, fellow designers, and engineers to drive to the heart of a complex problem space and articulate clear requirements.
• Synthesize business, technology, and user needs and envision smart, holistic design solutions.
• Bring ideas to life with compelling vision pieces and crystal clear writing and verbal communication.
• Produce innovative, highly usable designs for mobile, web, and desktop environments.
• Be the voice of the user and the spokesperson for usability.
• Collaborate and iterate across functions to bring vision to fruition.

What you know:
• Intimate understanding of design heuristics and examples of great, usable design solutions for mobile (iOS), web, Macintosh and Windows products.
• Experience working with or leading user research; ability to translate user goals and behaviors into designs.
• Strong visual design skills and ability to create pixel-perfect comps, when necessary
• Ability to conceptualize innovative design solutions based on business goals and user needs.
• Ability to assess technology constraints and opportunities, and adjust design approaches accordingly.
• Ability to create workflow diagrams, wireframes, and mock-ups rapidly and at an appropriate level of fidelity.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Careful attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage work to adhere to critical project timelines.

What you have:
• In-market examples of successful experience design, and experience in every phase of the product development lifecycle.

• Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum 7 years, preference 10+ years, in the industry as a member of an User Experience Design team.
