Senior Communications Writer

Looking for someone who has created content addressing complex user issues.

As a writer in the Brand Studio, you will work with creative leadership to set language standards and drive the creation of compelling content for client websites, apps, mobile, and experiences. You will work collaboratively with other writers, strategists, product teams, designers, and policy partners. Great attention to detail, and a strong portfolio in web and/or product writing required. You possess both a deep knowledge of the digital world and the ability to talk about it to billions of users.

You will be responsible for working across a complex global initiative that includes brand messaging, various product experiences, and marketing communications across several product areas.

Specific areas of focus:

Copy for collateral for key marketing pages
Copy for various brands, software, and services
Storytelling about key initiatives


Write in a voice that matches the brand language for websites and related products
Develop communications across large project areas, often global in scope
Synthesize feedback from multiple sources and iterate rapidly on mockups
Fulfill several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Proactively solicit, manage, and address stakeholder input
Translate copy into layout specifications, cut and organize assets, and communicate them in a way that they can be visually referenced and integrated by UX and engineering teams
Implement working processes for copy style guides as well as methods for efficiency and communication

Requirements :

Online portfolio of work required
5+ years of experience in digital copywriting and/or corporate communications for a technology brand
BA/BS with strong academic record - English, Journalism, or HCI degree preferred
Strong command of the English language; an eye for details, meticulous grammar, and proofreading skills
Ability to distill and articulate complicated issues in a way everyone can understand
Strong project management skills to manage multiple workstreams on multiple products
Excellent business acumen, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills — with experience interacting with senior-level executives
Experience with editorial processes, such as style guidelines
Knowledge of defining project schedules, scoping work, and managing stakeholders
Experience working in agile product development environments; able to adapt quickly and create solutions independently or collaboratively
