Senior Communications Advisor

Our client, a local Oil & Gas company, is looking for an outstanding Communications Advisor to serve as part of their Environmental Services Team, which in-turn services the Global Real Estate and Facilities group. This person will be in charge of providing both internal and external communication support as it relates to emergency response, media/public relations, community outreach, Public/Government affairs, and other ad hoc issues/events as they arise.

Responsibilities Include:
• Creating and Maintaining Communications & Public Affairs Plan/Calendar
• Providing communication support to external facilities as it relates to emergency response, community events, media relations, etc.
• Serving as the POC (Point-of-contact) for the Global Real Estate & Facilities organization
• Providing council on Guidelines for Public Speaking and Media engagement
• Ability to quickly provide assistance with other miscellaneous campus communication needs as they arise

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of Communications experience with a strong understanding of Public, Media, Government and Community relations.

Qualifications:
• Strong, professional communication style, both in person and in writing.
• Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels within the organization
• High-energy with a drive to succeed
• Supreme attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Self-starter who is able to function effectively in an ever-changing, very fluid environment.
• Experience with crisis communications, emergency response, and media relations
• Experience working within a large corporation
• SharePoint or other Intranet experience is a plus
