Job Description:

The Senior Communications Consultant will be responsible for providing complex communications consultation, executive communications, communications planning, and implementation for multi-year Privacy and Security Program and related projects under the Technology Risk Office in an effort to meet organizational brand/reputation goals. Audiences include executive stakeholders, business partners, and other internal audiences.

Essential Functions:
• Develop and implement multi-year communications plans and tactics to fulfill the strategic and operational goals of the Program.
• Provide communications consulting to clients on internal communications, stakeholder engagement and reputation management. Consulting activity will vary from verbal communications or advice on communications issues to providing customized communications materials.
• Strategizes with program leaders to develop creative and compelling communications platforms.
• Writes and edits a range of collateral materials, including presentations (PowerPoint presentations and talking points), memos, technical updates, Web sites, toolkits, and newsletter articles.
• Manages and completes multiple assignments in short time frames and coordinates diverse projects and activities into a cohesive and strategic program.
• Coordinates and tracks overall communications pipeline coming out of the Program.
• Implements measures to benchmark effectiveness of communications programs and create plans to improve results.
• Ensures content is consistent with the brand in terms of tone, manner, and messaging.
• Acquires necessary input and coordinates deliverables of other communicators to ensure respective projects are aligned with the larger program.
• Involves a solid understanding of security and privacy issues and industry at large, as well as regulatory communications.
• Exercises considerable judgment to make decisions for less defined and complex issues.
• Work is accomplished without considerable direction.
• Has no formal supervisory responsibilities
