Creative tech agency in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Communications Strategist with strong fundraising experience. Only candidates with experience developing fundraising campaigns from scratch will be considered. Create holistic, goal-oriented communications strategies based on audience research, message development, core content, action opportunities, and constituent data Develop cross-channel messaging arcs with specific guidance on voice, tactics, and timing Write razor-sharp copy for email, web pages, social media, SMS, and more Assist with the production, delivery, and QA of emails and landing pages Coordinate with digital analysts to develop and execute A/B testing plans on email and on sites Contribute communications recommendations to strategy memos and presentations Lead client trainings on proven digital communications strategies and tactics Hone specialized expertise in specific areas of online communications, such as fundraising, SMS, advocacy, and many more
3–5 years of writing/managing email programs for a political campaign, non-profit organization, or corporation Strong writing, copy-editing, and proofreading skills on short deadlines Proven experience in one or more of these areas: content marketing, audience research, tone/voice development, email list analysis and segmentation, A/B testing Meticulous attention to detail Functional knowledge of HTML (coding expertise not necessary) Familiarity with CMS and CRM systems, particularly bulk email software like, Convio/Luminate, Salsa, SilverPop, etc. Ability to manage many different projects at once, from assignment to delivery Ability to work well with a variety of departments and key actors.
