Senior Brand Manager

Looking for an experienced Brand Manager to serve as a key member of our client's marketing team based here in Richmond, VA. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity.

Position Summary:
The Brand Manager will drive broad marketing strategy by taking lead responsibility in developing and executing initiatives to achieve both short- and long-term brand goals. In addition, the Brand Manager will collaborate with cross-functional counterparts both internally and externally to drive brand initiatives while ensuring that all projects support organizational goals and exceed consumer and customer expectations.

As a Brand Manager you are a fully dedicated business leader who possesses a high level of passion for what you do. In this role you will shape the future of several category-leading brands. You will take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of your brands. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, product features, and external communications, you will shape the voice of our products and help them grow among a loyal and new consumer base.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Build a strong relationship with the innovation team and creative agencies to develop initiatives that bring our brands to life across all touch points (online, offline, social media, PR and more)
- Lead a broad range of activities to grow our brands including, product development, packaging, pricing, promotion, advertising, line extensions and innovation
- Develop and implement all brand initiatives
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of brand management on a 360 degree level, considering the needs and drivers of both the consumer and trade, and how to fulfill them simultaneously
- Conduct in-depth market and brand analysis to support category and brand growth within a fast-moving consumer packaged goods category
- Ensure delivery of brand performance initiatives within budget
- Monitor, track, and analyze brand performance and initiatives; translate analysis into strategic needs
- Independently lead key projects to achieve strategic brand goals
- Drive interpretation and understanding of qualitative and quantitative research
- Recognize and identify category and brand building opportunities both internally and externally
- Prepare and create engaging, meaningful and persuasive presentations at all levels of the organization
- Multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Prioritize daily demands to meet tight deadlines
- Work collaboratively with both internal and external creative teams to ensure consistency in brand messaging
- Own brand P/L, identify issues, and recommend/implement necessary action plans to achieve annual sales and margin goals
- Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:
- MBA preferred; minimum 4-year undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study required
- 5+ years experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) brand marketing
- Luxury Goods marketing experience a plus
- Excellent analytical skills upon which to base decision-making
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects within scheduled timelines
- Team player-able to interact and work effectively with various functional partners
- Drive, energy, and passion to work with category-leading brands
- Must be self-motivated and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
