Senior Associate, Brand Strategist

A digital agency located downtown in Manhattan is seeking a Sr. Associate, Brand Strategist, to join their team. This role would start 9/12 and last through 12/2, with a possibility of extension. There will be minimal travel to the client site with the team. The client is located in PA. This will happen 1-2 times per quarter (if any at all).

Project/Client: Help create a brand strategy for an emerging international CPG brand, including digital extension and execution, localization of messaging, and creation of international brand website and supporting digital properties.

Main duties:
- Synthesize primary and secondary research to create brand strategy including: brand purpose, brand positioning
- Create site brief for international brand website
- Brief and support media buying and social teams
- Assist creative team with content creation

Responsibilities:
- Identify, understand, and prioritize problems and opportunities that impact solution effectiveness
- Conduct research and analysis that will determine and describe target users, audience or consumers
- Prepare for and lead in-context interviews
- Conduct usability studies
- Analyze social media communities, web analytics, user paths, user feedback / surveys, and usability study results
- Distinguish different types of behavioral models
- Translate themes into visually compelling frameworks
- Develop task flows and user personas based on research and business requirements
- Organize research findings into matrices or maps that highlight business opportunities
- Lead heuristic reviews of web sites or design artifacts
- Perform competitive and gap analyses

Experience Guidelines:
- 3-5 years of online industry experience
- Very detail orientated with the ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks in a timely fashion
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of the latest qualitative research and analysis techniques
- In-depth knowledge of user experience disciplines (participatory design, HCI, UI design, Usability, user-centered design principles and processes)
- Strong analytical and process-oriented problem-solving skills
- Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, collaborative, highly-matrixed organization
