Senior Analyst, Category Management

Interacting with retailer buyer, sales team members and customer marketing team while maintaining the confidentiality of retailer's category and competitive data.
Completing full analyses of Seasonal Planogram sets along with toy industry trends to make recommendations to the Buyers and Sales team in developing winning category strategies and solutions.
Responsible for product performance evaluation, including Planogram space to sales/productivity performance, item listing recommendations, performance department strategies, and regular tracking reports.
Gather data from internal and external sources, analyze data, develop, monitor and standardize account benchmark reporting, and disseminate analyses throughout organization.
Travel required; approximately 6-12 times a years

Is able to work with massive amounts of data and conduct analyses
Drives through barriers, knocks down walls and multi tasks
Can work independently, adhere to schedules and follow up accordingly

Has the ability to problem solve and exhibits a positive attitude while dealing with challenges
Has a passion for the Toy Industry!

Skills
Familiarity working with and analyzing data from Retailer POS data systems and/or syndicated data such as NPD, Spectra, IRI, AC Nielsen, etc
Familiarity with Info Retriever is a plus
Knowledge of JDA ProSpace/Space Planning or equivalent
Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Excellent analytical skills
Attention to detail
Ability to explain complex topics to audiences with varying degrees of knowledge
Strong verbal and written communication skills


Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent
3 years' experience in category management, trade marketing, space planning, consumer and/or sales research in a retail or consumer products industry is preferred
