Senior Analyst

Summary:
The Retail Activation Senior Analyst will help to prepare for and launch a new enterprise marketing initiative. This role would suit someone with deep direct marketing expertise in a retail environment, experience with acquisition focused direct marketing, a strong analytical background and a passion for delivering results. This role reports to a director and has very high visibility to senior leadership across the business due to the nature of the project.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
• Lead rapid data structuring and analysis of quantitative survey data
• Lead targeting (e.g., list creation) for direct marketing campaigns that are longitudinal in nature based on customers actions
• Analyze marketing effectiveness (e.g., measure conversion, redemption, clicks, etc.)
• Conduct clustering and similar analysis to find relationships in customer data that are tied to business value
• Support problem solving through creation of new longitudinal marketing tactics leveraging multiple channels (e.g., email, direct mail, in-store events, etc.)
• Develop ad-hoc reporting solutions as needed to support project
• Develop actionable insights and business recommendations via the activities above

Required qualifications:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in creating business value with data driven analytics in a retail environment
• Mastery of relational database fundamentals including design, theory, technologies and standards
• Programming experience across different programming languages such as SaS, R, SQL, Python
• Deep proficiency with SQL Server including strong SQL development skills (Queries, Triggers, Stored Procedures, etc)
• Ability to multi-task several concurrent workstreams
• Ability to execute detailed Excel analytics and communicate findings in an impactful manner
• Bachelors degree – Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or Economics qualification a strong plus
• MBA preferred but not required
• Demonstrated passion for customer centric marketing
