Security Communications Coordinator

This role works in close coordination with the IT security teams to develop and implement strong communications to end users using various media in order to assist our customer in improving the efficacy of their IT Security program and in improving compliance to various regulatory requirements through consistent improvements in the Security Awareness program. The ideal candidate for this role is an excellent communicator with experience in IT customer service, or IT delivery, with the creativity to generate security media that will engage end users within a large healthcare system.

Role Responsibilities:
Assists in creating awareness presentations, educational materials, and media materials such as webinars or videos, based on customer direction.
Updates Information Security website with articles and communications from various IT domains.
Develops marketing campaign to engage IT and non-IT resources across enterprise to elicit feedback and visits to the Information Security website.
Assists in the preparation, event tracking and follow up activities related to the annual Security Awareness event across the health system locations, with the goal of improving participation and attendance.
Assist in integrating new lines of business or new acquisitions for health customer into Security Awareness program, identifying additional deliverables or program modifications.
Provide creative approaches to continually improve and grow the Security Awareness program.

Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to express thoughts clearly, know how to listen, and contribute in a client-facing environment.
Minimum of 2 years of information technology experience
Minimum of 2 years of written communications experience that can include Marketing, Corporate Communications, or other departments or roles that require significant written material developed.
Competence with Microsoft Office, e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.
Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal direction and maximum accountability
Preferences:
An understanding of Security Awareness as it relates to Information Security programs
Information Security experience
Marketing, Education, or Communications degree
