This is your opportunity to own and grow the organic and paid search business of top-name clients in diverse industries. Our client is looking for a search strategist who loves to work with clients, digs data, and improves business outcomes with discovered insights. Our client wants someone who excels as part of a team but can also work independently with no supervision, someone who’s great at keeping track of a lot of moving parts and who can develop a process when one does not exist. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including strategy, development, media, and even creative. Because you’ll work directly with clients, you might be translating your subject matter expertise to make it more digestible, as well as talking in highly technical terms to the developers and quality assurance experts. Starting on day 1 you are the go-to person for expertise related to organic and paid search. We will have a book of business ready for you to manage with both SEO and PPC responsibilities.
Here’s what success looks like in the role:
You’re working daily in search engine interfaces and tools, running Excel analyses, and responding to client emails. You’ll also use Raven tools, Marin, Screaming Frog, and Moz.
Continuously optimize PPC budgets, engines, keywords, and ad copy to meet and exceed clients’ ROI goals. Perform SEO optimizations and make recommendations (such as core keyword research, drafting metadata, and making website recommendations to enhance SEO).
Translate client data into actionable information for reporting and presentations. You’ll assemble and present regular client reports and also identify and present new opportunities.
Develop meaningful client relationships by investigating clients’ business goals and developing and executing an appropriate search strategy. Take responsibility for clients’ search billing and reconciliation.
Prove yourself as an SEO/PPC subject matter expert and execute campaigns in line with the goals, budgets, and needs of our clients. You should be deeply interested in following search industry knowledge and trends
Within the first year, become a major contributor to increasing the search business practice for our client, and develop and refine processes to streamline and accelerate the business. Identify new project opportunities for existing and potential clients, and assist in business development meetings and proposal creation.
