Overview
The Global SEO Specialist is an amazing innovator and tactician able to drive high impact SEO strategies that include detailed technical optimizations, consumer driven content optimizations, and broader earned media communications strategies to accelerate the digital commerce business.

This key player will be a member of the Global Digital Commerce Marketing team developing and executing SEO strategy in all commerce enabled markets and will be dedicated to implementing a comprehensive plan and consumer driven approach that directly contribute to branding and demand generation goals.
We need someone to drive, push, challenge and inspire in the SEO arena.
With lack of clarity, often comes resistance. Sometimes with technical opportunities, the customer is the message. Passion/curiosity/fluency for a consumer driven approach to SEO is a must. As our Global SEO Specialist, you’ll help us deliver executional excellence to help tell a customer driven story. You will be focused on partnering with cross-functional teams to drive SEO initiatives and have a passion for using data to provide thought leadership, innovation, and tactical optimizations.
In order to achieve this goal, you will be able to look at various business needs and opportunities, assess requirements, analyze results, develop plans, and execute with excellence to continue to tune the “best in class” model for SEO programs.
This position requires a high-energy, self-motivated individual with strong technical and analytical skills, high detail-orientation and excellent written and verbal communication. Must be thoughtful about the consumer; understand the value of a premium consumer experience -- and the opportunities that SEO, across all devices, affords as an earned media channel.
Working in strong collaboration is a critical skill and this role is no different. You’ll work closely with our SEO agency, Digital Marketing & Analytics teams, Digital Tech Teams, Creative Experience Team, Merchandising Team, and Brand teams to define strategies and capabilities.
As our Global SEO Specialist you will:

• Provide planning and executional excellence in a cross-functional setting to foster new ideas, cultivate concepts to define strategy and guide concept development.
• Development of key strategic deliverables including presentations, best practices and technical specs.
• Organization and delivery of long-term strategies and technical optimization activities against brand priorities and development cycles.
• Define, develop, and deliver priorities with SEO Agency, Merchandising, Analytics, Experience, and Content teams to recommend strategies that drive SEO growth.
• Define SEO success metrics, develop and manage high-quality reporting, and communicate performance and insights that show progress toward program KPI’s involving customer data
• Provide guidance on optimal content design.
• Build deep, trusting relationships with key stakeholders so you become a reliable source and partner.
• Participate in and report findings of comprehensive Website Audits and Competitive Search Analysis.
• Drive monthly and seasonal analysis and review of all owned campaigns.
• Mastery of business-writing skills in client communications, decks, internal memos, etc.
• Remain current on the latest industry trends, guidelines, and search algorithm changes.
• Understand complex business capabilities and partner with SEO BSA to define technical requirements and business needs.
• Define, prioritize, and manage the execution of key SEO tactical initiatives.

Qualifications
• BA in Marketing, Communications, Media Sciences, Journalism, Computer Science, or Engineering required or 2+ years in lieu of
• 4-6 years of clearly visible, expert level SEO experience either agency or client side. Active, hands-on optimization experience is required
• You must be able to write clearly and quickly, present your ideas in an organized and coherent manner and be willing to stand up to the challenges of US and EU marketing teams, IT groups, brand managers, corporate communications and the myriad agencies that are circling around.
• Unique balance of disciplined strategic thinking, creative passion, and a willingness to be hands-on, while being able to stay “above the fray” to ensure goals are being hit are required
• Comfortable interacting with senior executives
• Experience with articulating and communicating the impact that Technical Structure, Design & Aesthetics, Content, Navigation, Information Architecture, Branding/Marketing, Performance, Functionality and ecommerce have on SEO is required
• Analytically minded, comfortable manipulating and analyzing large amounts of data in order to make actionable recommendations is required
• Experience with web analytics tools (Urchin, Webtrends, Ominiture) is required
• Experience using a CMS and an understanding of the impact they have on SEO is preferred
• Intermediate HTML skills, ability to hand code W3C compliant XHTML is preferred
• Ability to perform research, analyze websites, document changes, and make decisions regarding optimization approach
• Ability to perform click through rate, conversion, spend and creative analysis to identify growth/optimization opportunities
• Paid search management experience is a plus but you will need the core understanding of how SEO and SEM play nice together.
• Social media strategic awareness is a must since every day it seems that Google layers in another way social is influencing search results.
• Knowledge of footwear or apparel industry is preferred
