Search Engine Marketing Manager

The ecommerce team manages a rapidly growing online business, and currently has digital marketing programs in more than 50+ countries around the world. Not only does the team offer consumers a compelling online destination to buy leading products they also recently launched apps, games, videos, music, and TV shows for sale.

The team needs a high-energy, data-driven marketer to manage store’s Search Engine Marketing (SEM) programs based out of Redmond, WA. The role will also offer the opportunity to lead the expansion and management of Product Listing Ads (PLA) and Comparison Shopping sites (CSE) in 15+ countries. Your role, as Search Engine Marketing Manager, will be to increase revenue via Google, Bing, and CSEs while delivering a high return on ad spend (ROAS). This role requires a balance of long-term strategic thinking and short-term execution. As the owner of SEM, PLA and CSEs you will be responsible for:
- Driving strategy, growth and execution of SEM, PLA (10+ markets) and CSE (10+ markets) campaigns with the support of agency staff while delivering a high return on spend.
- Developing strong relationships with digital marketing teams across the company to manage and coordinate KW strategy and messaging for acquisition focused marketing.
- Designing and executing tests, collecting and analyzing data, identifying trends and sharing insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns.
- Managing SEM strategy, plan development, and communication with SEM agency and broader stakeholders for global product launches.
- Utilize first and third party data in Data Management Platform to find, qualify and convert hard to reach audiences interested in particular product categories.
- Bringing leadership with new growth ideas and drive its implementation to grow the business including but not limited to testing new products, audience targeting, market and partner expansion.
- Keeping up-to-date on digital marketing trends and developments, including attending conference and industry events.
- Understanding and analyzing digital marketing KPIs, developing scorecards, newsletters and reporting on results and key initiatives to senior management and other stakeholders.
- As a leader for this key area of the business, you will be measured by site traffic and revenue referred by digital marketing channels you manage.

What you bring to the role:
- High energy, result orientated marketing expertise with an incredibly strong bias for action.
- Strong analytical skills and data driven decision making focus
- 3-5 years of SEM and PLA experience managing campaigns across Google, Bing, as well as managing various CSEs globally.
- In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Omniture)
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
- Working knowledge of HTML, and JavaScript development and constraints.
- Experience with bid management tools (e.g., Marin, Kenshoo, Adobe) and search monitoring tools (Adgooroo)
- A willingness and ability to work with a large number of people, including our international subsidiaries and lead meetings with a high level of tact and organization.
- Strong understanding of ROI-oriented marketing and internet advertising model.
- Understanding of ecommerce SEM strategies and performance based search programs.
- Superior verbal, written and presentation skills.

- Strong analytical, problem solving, multi-tasking and project management skills.

Additional Experience:
- Oversees the development of company marketing programs.
- Responsible for assessment of potential markets, product life cycle planning, coordination of technical product development, development of product strategies, definition of promotional activities and product launch.
- Instrumental in designing, developing and launching end-to-end marketing campaigns to drive lead opportunities for sales. Understands the sales and business cycle.
- Understands ROI Analysis.

Additional Skills:
- 5-7 years work related experience in a leadership role preferred.
- Strong project management and strategic skills required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Must have the ability to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects.
- Must be detail oriented, have strong cross group collaboration skills, pro-active and managing multiple projects is a must.
- Must know how to prioritize tasks.
- B2B or B2C Marketing experience preferred.
- Marketing experience with high technology products preferred.
- Web/online (HTML/SharePoint) experience preferred.
- Master's degree in Business Administration preferred; Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required.
