Search Engine Business Analyst

Responsible for care and feeding of on site search engines, reviewing metrics, keywords, phrases, recommending improvements to metadata, working with editorial and content management teams to continually improve findability of content across portals. Experience with Autonomy IDOL a HUGE plus.

Help manage, define and maintain the site search function
- Create, categorize, and refine keyword lists to drive better search results for visitors
Assist in management of digital content by IDOL, through use of hyperlinking, agents, summarization, taxonomy generation, clustering, eduction, profiling, alerting and retrieval.
- Design reports that measure results and highlight significant trends. Draw conclusions and effectively communicate important insights, best practices, and recommendations.
- Assess the performance of site search engines through timely qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Analyze site content and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the sites to include often searched terms and improve user experience.
 Understanding core metrics and evaluation, and must be mathematically inclined.

Required Skills & Education

- 2-4 years of enterprise search or search marketing experience for a high volume website.
- Must have a thorough working knowledge of site search or search engine marketing.
- Strong experience with Autonomy Idol, Endeca, or familiarity with Intelligent Data Operating Layer.
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
High proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to quickly learn new software packages.
- Strong analytics skills.
