Scrum Master

AQUENT is partnering with one of our COOLEST clients to identify Scrum Master to help their team in San Francisco!

In this role you will:
Support the product development process:
• Facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other activities as needed

Scrum-related meetings:
• Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress
• Maintain process documentation
• Ensure the development teams are practicing the Agile principles

Support the Product Owner:
• Assist as needed with backlog maintenance
• Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
• Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs

Support the product team:
• Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
• Identify and remove impediments, prevent distractions
• Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
• Empower the team to self-organize

PM Base Requirements
Manage various aspects of marketing projects. Includes project planning and design, implementing strategic and tactical initiatives and ensuring, through formal project management practices, that the final deliverable meets the original project requirements. Leads one or more projects, which may involve direct mail, email and social media.

• Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types
• A thorough understanding of Agile methodologies, values, and procedures
• Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to coach the team to reach their highest potential
• Collaborative approach to driving decisions
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
• Frequently uses and applies appropriate standards, principle theories, concepts and techniques.
• Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
• Provides solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Works under general supervision and follows established procedures.

• Certified ScrumMaster with 1-2 years of project management experience and <1 year of ScrumMaster experience

***Additional Notes:
- Scrum Master Certification is not a requirement as long as you have 1-2 years of experience as a Scrum Master.***

-Must Have:
(1) Scrum Master experience – minimum 1 year (this team recently transitioned into Agile)
(2) Project Management experience- 1-2 years experience (will be project managing at least 50% of time)
(3) Understand marketing and have knowledge on how mail and email should be distributed.
