Required skills/background:
• Strong background in pharmaceutical advertising, marketing, and promotion for a healthcare professional audience
• Experience writing for digital media: websites, iPad apps, mobile apps, banner ads, email campaigns. Understanding of digital functionality and wireframes; ability to collaborate with user experience team members; ability to create a manuscript that meets programmer’s needs
• Knowledgeable about FDA regulations in drug promotion (including their application to digital media): on-label vs off-label, prescribing information , brief summaries, fair balance, important safety information (ISI), "Please see" lines, boxed warnings
• Working knowledge of MS Word with MAC or PC; already know or be quick to learn advanced word processing (eg, section breaks, track changes, commenting) for manuscript templates required for digital manuscripts. Ability to manage and maintain large-scale manuscripts (100+ pages)
Qualified candidates will:
• Play a key copywriter role on the client service team: working closely with art directors and designers, account managers, project managers, editors, and user experience designers; interacting on occasion with programmers
• Feel comfortable interacting with the client brand team (marketing department) and medical-legal-regulatory review team
• Present manuscripts and/or layout content to a client as part of a copy-art-account team
• Write/revise content for both promotional and high-science disease education programs
• Prepare and annotate manuscripts and layouts for editorial fact-checking and MLR submissions
