Sales and Marketing Support Manager for Microsoft Hardware

Work group Purpose:
Microsoft Hardware UK sits within the PC Platform Team in CCG (Consumer Channels Group). The group manages all aspects of Microsoft Hardware in the UK including above-the-line marketing, channel marketing, retail sales (through Retail Sales & Marketing), commercial sales (within the team and in partnership with other groups), operations, business and marketing strategy and forecasting for both B2B and B2C audiences. Role purpose:
The purpose of this role is to support the commercial sales PAM’s (Partner Account Managers) in managing the UK commercial distributors, taking on business development of key smaller accounts and supporting the marketing manager with marketing assets and samples management. (Further detail below).

Profile of successful candidate:
This is a varied role and ideal for someone looking to get a grounding in sales and marketing within a fast-paced technology company. We are looking for an individual who will work well as part of a team, is a fast-learner, is self-motivated and strives to learn, achieve and contribute. Degree level education preferred.

Execution Plan

Distribution sales and marketing support
Approx 40% of time
• Responsible for stock management in disti.
• Responsible for pricing matrix and bid pricing
• Responsible for special deal raising and tracking
• Responsible for monthly breadth promos
• Joint accountability for providing distributors with sufficient support to attain revenue targets
• Weekly 1:1s with Disti PAM
• Weekly forecast conversation as part of breadth meetings
• Maintaining SD Tracker and raising SDs in an accurate and timely fashion
• Building and distributing breadth monthly promos
• Ensuring disti marketing plans are strong and ROI is satisfactory
• Any other support required by manager or Disti PAM

Samples and asset support for entire hardware business
Approx 40% of time
• Accountable for tracking samples requests, checking stock in and out of storage, packing and shipping samples and assisting with audit requirements
• Responsible for asset management and distribution – e.g. product launch details, product master documents and pitch decks
• Manage samples tracking file, request forms and stock levels.
• Ad-hoc responses to asset queries/requirements
• Structured launch e-mails for each new product
• Any other support required by manager

Business Development in Breadth channel
Approx 20% of time Manage relationship with ‘activation’ tier accounts.
• Analysis to identify best opportunities and therefore which are key accounts
• Monthly touch points with key accounts to drive incremental opportunities
• Develop relationship with new accounts and look for potential to bring their revenue up
• Support accounts with marketing funding and plans as appropriate
