Sales Strategy and Solutions Manager

The Sales Strategy and Solutions Manager is responsible for the Program Packaging and Marketing functions of the Sales Strategy and Solutions team.

This position will support the ideation and development of digital marketing campaigns playing a crucial role in the packaging of new marketing opportunities and promotional ad products that enable the ad sales team to sell progressive digital advertising solutions. This individual is responsible for assisting with the creation of digital marketing/promotion concepts that meet and advertiser’s objectives, while leveraging audience insights in order to build world class marketing solutions. To provide executable solutions, the Strategy and Solutions Manager will work closely with the Manager, Strategy and Solutions and Director, Strategy and Solutions, Editorial, Product and Design Teams as well as Legal for feedback and identifying needs. Following management and editorial guides, the role also includes the communication and dissemination of advertising and sponsorship opportunities to the ad sales teams. To fulfill specific campaign requests, the Manager will also assist in managing relationships with our online content partners and business units and in developing cross-platform campaigns. Overall, this individual will be responsible for creating innovative digital advertising solutions, promotions, and custom marketing programs, based on insights and audience knowledge.

This team will also play an important role in building the General Presentations, Go to Market Strategies, Sizzles, Case Studies and ownership of all of the sales facing documents and the database that houses these documents.



Responsibilities

Successfully partner with internal business units and product development teams to formulate online and cross media ad sales solutions (marketing/promotions tools) consistent with industry trends and category revenue goals.
Gather competitive information on potential customers and market segments. This includes evaluating current and future clients and their business needs and developing a strategy to meet their needs and gain their business.
Lead efforts in gathering insights and strategy on DOL audience and product insights to develop best practice promotional ideas.
Working with editorial and revenue operation teams to design compelling sales materials and ideate creative new sales opportunities. Look internally at marketing communications and tools, assessing future tools and recommend strategic direction for assigned areas.
Manage property relationships and communicate opportunities to the sales team. Provide input on sales tools and materials.
Develop thorough briefing documents of all marketing promotional elements to be executed, comprehensive timelines and production schedules.
Develop post-mortems, case studies and campaign summary materials
Confirms proper approvals are followed ie. Product, Legal, Brand, Finance, Production, etc.
Surfaces scope changes or execution issues as they arise
Builds relationships with cross functional teams and understand each team’s individual processes and job requirements
