Sales Operations Analyst

This Top Social Media Company is seeking a highly quantitative, driven, process and detail-oriented Sales Operations Analyst who will serve as a member of the core Sales Operations team. This person will report into the US Sales Operations team supporting the Global Sales Organization – the sales team within GMS that deals with this Social Media Company's largest advertisers. The Sales Operations Analyst will work cross-functionally with several teams (including sales, operations, compensation, finance and business intelligence), with the primary objective of enabling sales leadership to make effective, analytically driven, and strategic operating decisions. The role will entail analyzing market, advertiser and agency performance, improving efficiency through automation, and leading product adoption and revenue analysis to identify short and long term business growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Reporting and Insights
• Lead accurate revenue reporting and forecasting for senior sales management on weekly basis
• Analyze current channel, vertical, and sub-vertical performance and identify levers for driving revenue growth
• Provide ad hoc analysis of spending trends among specific clients, agencies, verticals and overall industry
• Develop insights/analysis of key financial and operational metrics as well as product adoption on regular basis
• Support global or US central strategic projects on ad hoc basis (e.g., sales go-to-market model)

Quota Setting
• Support quarterly sales force quota-setting process in collaboration with cross-functional partners
• Provide senior sales management with analytic support for quarterly forecasting decisions

Automation and efficiency
• Focus on continuous improvement of core projects through automation and process enhancement
• Drive operational excellence in the Sales organization for recurring processes

Skills:
The ideal candidate will be passionate about Social Media, interested in advertising, intellectually curious, able to work independently, comfortable with ambiguity, a fast learner, and able to move fast while keeping focused on high impact projects.

Requirements:
• 1+ years post-collegiate work experience in a quantitative field (e.g. finance, business analytics, consulting, banking, business operations)
• Experience in media/technology is highly desirable but not required
• Demonstrated problem solving ability with experience providing practical business insights from large, complex data sets
• Advanced Excel skills
• Proficiency with SQL and experience extracting data from large / complex databases highly preferred but not required
• Experience in data visualizations and building scalable reporting tools also preferred but not required
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to present technical content to general audiences
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including advanced PowerPoint/presentation ability
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment

Education:
BA/BS required from a top institution, ideally in business-related subject (e.g., Finance, Economics) or analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics)
