Sales Analyst

Under the general supervision of the Marketing Channel Analyst, the Sales Analyst provides assistance to the management of Robern’s sales operations nationwide. This includes special projects and assignments, maintaining open and effective communication with sales rep agencies and key customers, co-ordination of issues related to field sales administration, policies, procedures, and implementation of sales objectives. Gathers a variety of relevant information and prepares summaries for use by the Sales Leader of Robern. 

Other competencies associated with primary function and scopes are as follows: 

- Apply sales fundamentals to practical problem solving 

- Works off of a plan to achieve levels of contribution relating to project leadership, process knowledge, or functional expertise. 

- Maintains a general competitor and market share understanding 



SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Develop and analyze sales reports including sales, profit and expense data. Analyze variances and recommend corrective action to the Director – Sales. 

2. Develop and maintain monthly sales dashboards, soliciting feedback from field to adjust dashboards, as needed, to provide actionable data in a clear and useful format. 

3. Work with Marketing, Customer Service, regional sales organizations, and other internal and external sources, as required, to develop and collect information from the field needed for sales forecasts, market research projects and general market information. Analyze data from various regions and recommend strategies. 

4. Create logical summary presentations in various Microsoft formats. 

5. Create and verify sales and orders to be reported to Accounting monthly. Develop sales projection for projects, standard/showroom orders and showroom displays monthly to be included in Robern forecast. 

6. Support the execution, on-going analysis and post audit summaries of marketing promotions as directed. 

7. Conduct studies related to special projects and assignments. Analyze the information; develop alternate approaches or solutions to issues raised by the Director – Sales. 

8. Other duties as assigned. 



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

Bachelors Degree in pursuit - preferably Business Administration, Finance or Accounting. Some sales analyst or inside sales experience is desired. Must be analytical, an effective and confident communicator, results oriented with good organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and possess above average computer skills.
