SQL Database Developer

As Database Developer on our team, the position will help reinforce and grow the company's various websites and applications. These applications include both user and business facing aspects. The developer will both understand and actively participate in the software development lifecycle to help ensure deployed applications provide high performance with excellent reliability. They will at times be working as part of a project team that requires communicating progress on tasks and escalating technical issues. They are also responsible for supporting existing applications within the enterprise including develop, test, debug and performance tune stored procedures. This person will support a world class corporate gift card site, including developing new functionality and reports. They will all also frequent software upgrades to work with the latest and great plugins, frameworks and code libraries.



PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Create and maintain database objects to include tables, stored procedures, triggers, SQL Agent Jobs, etc. using Microsoft SQL Server 2014/2016 Enterprise Edition
Document database objects and processes
Produce ad hoc database reports on short notice
Import and export data into and out of the database
Conduct database performance monitoring and make database changes as necessary to improve performance
Work within a cross functional group of developers and designers to create, enhance, and maintain C# .Net web centric applications
Work both independently and as a group within an iterative/agile development environment to include support of a 24/7 public-facing production environment.
