JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Social Media Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Social Media and work collaboratively with the other Marketing Manager on the team.

INNOVATIVE, CREATIVE, AND CUSTOMER-FOCUSED, THIS INDIVIDUAL WILL:
• Build, and maintain a best-in-class social media presence for the brand
• Identify trends and insights, and optimize social media performance based on insights
• Evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch-points

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for driving key business objectives through the development of social media and content strategies around organic and paid social media
• Provide ongoing key consumer, industry and brand insights and trends
• Support innovation and technology initiatives in an effort to drive traffic, acquisition, brand sentiment, consumer engagement and reach
• Develop paid and organic social media content and strategies that support marketing programs, quarterly and annually, and drive maximum digital engagement, reach and business performance
• Product marketing story development for the brand

SOCIAL COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT:
• Develops social media content calendar in partnership with other members of the social and creative team
• Responsible managing Sprinkler software and report back analytics to the team
• Responsible for current trends and keeping up to date with beta or “first-mover” opportunities
• Some experience in social media crisis management a plus
• Work with cross-functional team to ensure the correct product is chosen and represented in the creative
• Responsible for posting content to social channels.

CREATIVE / CONTENT STRATEGY:
• Develop content for seasonal, monthly and daily content approach, in partnership with business partners in Creative
• Brief Creative team on content development for social media, providing insights essential to creating high-preforming content (think like a professional Instagrammer)

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven working experience in social media; social agency or brand social media management experience
• Editorial product marketing is a plus
• Highly active on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat with a proven following
• 5 years marketing experience. Strong track record of establishing marketing programs that drive awareness, acquisition and loyalty
• Proven experience in working effectively with cross functional partners
• Willingness to help the team with tasks big and small; from tactical to big picture
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
