SEO and Content Management Specialist

Our client, a premier insurance and financial services company in Richmond is looking for SEO and Content Management specialists!

Please see below and submit qualified resume! SEO and Content Management Specialist. -Someone for 6 month assignment and converted to full time hopefully if not it will be a long term contract.

The SEO and Content Management Specialist is responsible for executing the SEO strategy; including maintaining the content editorial calendar to align with SEO objectives. In addition, the Specialist will create web pages and publish content on consumer sites using the OneWeb CMS platform.

Search Engine Optimization

· Key functions include:

o Support the development of the SEO strategy and execute the plan to improve the organic rankings of and other B2C websites.

o Perform keyword research to uncover the phrases and topics most likely to bring in high volumes of qualified traffic.

o Ensure on-page optimization best practices. E.g. title tag, canonical tag, description meta tag, 301 redirects, 404 errors, robots.txt, sitemaps, internal linking, semantically correct HTML, etc.

o Work with development team to ensure correct implementation of SEO recommendations and best practices and to understand areas of improvement.

o Use Google Analytics and other third-party tools to monitor, track, analyze and report SEO performance on an ongoing basis.

o Remain current on search engine optimization best practices and the latest trends.

o Develop and maintain the content editorial calendar to align with SEO objectives

o Work closely with both internal and freelance writers to coordinate the creation of content, including articles, product overviews, videos, etc. and ensure that it meets Compliance requirements

o Collaborate with Social Media team to align goals and objectives for content distribution.

Content Management

· Responsible for creating web pages and publishing content to consumer sites using the OneWeb CMS platform. Key functions include:

o Create mobile responsive web pages within the OneWeb platform to attract and engage consumers

o Publish content to the web site and ensure that it is accurate and visually appealing to the reader and maintains a consistent look and feel throughout the site.

o Monitor performance of content web pages within Google Analytics. Report findings and make recommendations for improvements.


· 2+ years SEO experience with an e-commerce/online retail company or digital marketing agency.

· Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools experience.

· Proven track record of driving results using ethical SEO practices.

· Demonstrable skill in analyzing data, transforming numbers into actionable insights.

· Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript & CSS.

· Experience using Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tool, Screaming Frog and MOZ.

· Lifelong Learner – Ability to demonstrate your desire to stay informed on the ever-changing world of SEO and Content Marketing.
