SEO Specialist

In this role, you’ll own and manage the search engine optimization for a major program.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams to shape the future of high-performing, data-driven online help content.
You’ll provide input to and execute the team’s website optimization strategies, serving as a thought leader in this area for the online support team.

Responsibilities:
Optimization strategy: Own the technical builds, research and analysis, and structured content field strategy for the client’s websites.
This includes developing content optimization suggestions for existing websites and planning pro-active SEO strategy for newly launched websites.
Work with content owners and stakeholders to implement changes for on-page content effectiveness, linking and redirect strategy.

Reporting & Analysis: Advise on competitive SERP analysis, SEO progress and keyword opportunity for stakeholders.
Measure and report on the effectiveness of SEO strategies in generating increased web traffic and organic revenue.
Conduct ad hoc and routine analysis of internal and external data sets, providing leadership insight into impact of algorithm changes (i.e. mobile optimization), market trends, risks and opportunities.

Cross-functional teamwork: Work cross-functionally with product marketing, social media and community, developers and engineering teams to ensure consistency in SEO strategy and analysis.

Subject-Matter Expertise: Be the SEO thought leader that team members turn to for support on content builds and technical strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:
3 years experience implementing and managing SEO strategy for large websites in a competitive industry with a proven track record of success.

Expert knowledge of SEO tools, including Webmaster Tools and hands-on familiarity with Google Analytics
Strong ability to audit back-end, technical website issues that may be affecting organic search performance
Enterprise-level technical SEO experience.
Proven track record of optimizing large content sites on a global scale for competitive head terms and long tail terms.
Strong understanding of technical SEO (.xml sitemaps, crawl budget, canonicalization, etc.)
Advanced understanding of Google Sheets or Excel (pivot tables, looks-up function and conditional functions.)
Superior communication skills, including the ability to take complex, ambitious topics and create compelling narratives for different audiences
Ability to work independently, proactively make recommendations, and to work with high-level stakeholders
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to dig extensively into metrics and analytics

Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python, as it relates to SEO. Other programming languages.
Experience working in a fast paced environment

Working knowledge of French, Spanish, German, Korean, and/or Japanese for global SEO optimization.
