SEO Marketing Manager

Join the QuickBooks Canada Marketing Team for an exciting opportunity as an SEO Marketing Manager for an 11 month contract. You will be responsible to assist in executing SEO strategies that drive marketing activities. You will be working in partnership with the Senior Digital Strategy Manager and Digital Marketing Managers, and ensure the successful execution of a world class Digital Marketing Strategy.

Responsibilities
Reporting into the Go-to-Market Group Manager, you will be expected to:
• Work with Sr. Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Managers in executing SEO initiatives in Canada
• Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
• Understands other digital marketing channels as a whole and how SEO can complement and enhance the overall digital strategy
• Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code
• Help continue to build SEO governance that will drive Canada and global program
• Work with editorial agency and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
• Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
• Perform intensive SEO audit on all pages to ensure titles, URLs, descriptions, canonical tags, location tags are following SEO standards and governance
• Focus on executing the SEO strategy. You will be expected to adopt SEO best practices, perform keyword research, evaluate of web performance and work with PR and social leads to leverage content to rank well in SERPs
• Assist in managing requests, scope, expectations, and requirements.
• Partner with segment marketing managers to help deliver initiatives for their programs through SEO
• Participate in developing and improving processes, methodology, and documentation to help enhance best-in-class SEO marketing initiatives

Qualifications

• Proven SEO experience
o Minimum 3+ years of experience in an SEO role on agency or client side
• Must possess strong team mindset
• Strong understanding of SEO – search engine ranking factors, algorithms and principles. Strong understanding of search behavior and how search works
• In-depth experience with SEO analytics tools (e.g, Google Search Console, seoClarity, SiteCatalyst, etc.)
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
• Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
• Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and possess the ability to analyze high volume and complex sets of information to make data driven decisions
• Ability to operate independently and efficiently to successfully manage multiple tasks, priorities and projects simultaneously
• Demonstrates ability and self-motivation to excel within an environment of change, start-up mentality and a drive for continuous improvement
• Results-oriented and process driven, with high expectations of self and team.
• BILINGUAL (English & French) is a plus
• Flexible and able to handle multiple priorities
• Eager to learn and to share
