We have an agency client that is seeking an SEO Manager to join their San Diego Team. The Organic Search manager will play a key role within the company. The position is for someone who has an entrepreneurial attitude, is passionate about all things related to organic search, social and digital, and deeply cares for their team and their clients. In short, if you consider yourself a digital marketer, curious about exploring the connections between search, technology, and consumer behavior, then please apply!

The ideal candidate will be very familiar with the best practices of the search marketing industry. He/She will understand the core concepts behind the best available practices of organic search, know how to develop and execute keyword rich on page content, and know how to pull intelligence from analytics.

The core responsibility for the role will be to understand, communicate and execute all things related to organic search. You’ll be involved with our clients in all aspects of their business activities, from reporting to executing strategies originating from campaign performance:

Convey key fundamentals of SEO to both technical and lay persons alike.
Be a specialist in your space by staying on top of current search news, search engine feature and algorithmic adjustments.
Work closely with the Head of Organic Search to conceptualize and implement SEO projects including, but not limited to on-page and off-page optimization activities.
Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Work on multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating the ability to handle many things at once.
Work independently to recognize areas of opportunity and growth.
Exhibit a restless interest in advancing the success of our clients & agency.

We embrace diversity and non-traditional people, but at a minimum we really need someone that fits the following profile:

Experience in the organic search space (min. 2-3 years), managing a combination of organic search accounts & preferably has experience in the digital agency field.
A strong understanding of Search.
Proficient in keyword research and build-out.
Experience in the travel industry is a plus.
Experience with traffic and analytics tools.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
