SEO Manager

You will be tasked with designing your own SEO strategy

You’ll run your own SEO audits, SEO reports and optimising web content to improve our rankings on search engines. Your ultimate goal will be to attract, delight and acquire new QuickBooks customers in the UK. Working in partnership with all cross-functional marketing stakeholders, you will ensure the successful execution of a world class SEO Strategy.

Responsibilities

Reporting into the Senior Web Marketing Manager, you will be expected to:
• Set up and maintain an automated SEO keyword ranking tool together with the analytics team to monitor SEO performance
• Prepare and present meaningful weekly/monthly SEO reports to monitor search trends, page & keyword rankings against competitors, traffic levels and SEO conversion rates
• Define a roadmap and implement a plan of action to improve our SEO performance (improve page rankings, increase qualified traffic and drive conversions)
• Work closely with the Content Manager and cross-functional Marketing team to provide & execute on and off-page SEO recommendations
• Explore innovative ways to generate incremental top of the funnel traffic & conversions through social media tactics and ongoing SEO keyword research
• Define and execute strategic A/B tests by leveraging key customer insights to drive traffic
• Conduct technical SEO audits and provide technical optimisation recommendations
• Administer webmaster tools, XML sitemaps, shopping feeds, etc
• Work with the PR, content manager and marketing teams to identify SEO link building opportunities & amplify results
• Project manage the successful execution of SEO recommendations with the team
• Work alongside the Global teams to share and leverage best practice findings
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in an SEO role on agency or client side
• Strong understanding of SEM and keyword optimisation from both organic and paid sources
• Ability to gather and analyse large data sets from multiple sources to provide meaningful insights with actionable recommendations
• Extensive knowledge of popular keyword analysis tools such as Google, Brightedge, WordTracker, Keyword Discovery, etc
• Experience with web analytic tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) as well as internal reporting tools
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and using a CMS
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with clear examples of using data actively for target setting, measurement, ROI analysis and recommendations
• Proven experience and passion to facilitate social media programs to drive business results and willingness to take risks
• Operates independently and efficiently to successfully manage multiple tasks, priorities and projects simultaneously
• Influences effectively and builds strong relationships to deliver outstanding results end-to-end with limited resource
• Demonstrates ability and self-motivation to excel within an environment of change, start-up mentality and a drive for continuous improvement
