A Fortune 500 company located in Richmond, VA has an immediate opportunity for a technically-oriented Search Engine Optimization specialist. We are seeking an extremely conscientious, detail-oriented individual with tangible experience. The ideal candidate will be able to consistently present a positive, flexible attitude and contribute to a fast-paced, visible team environment. Ideal candidate will have the ability to work with clients and delivery teams from concept through execution. Proven search engine optimization experience and skills and experience required.

Responsibilities:
• Provide market and competitor research results to senior management, including industry trends, best practices.
• Develop impactful insights that drive strategy and decision making, including leveraging and integrating primary research, multiple studies, secondary sources, and competitive intelligence
• Diagnose and interpret business issues, identify knowledge gaps and obtain support from marketing and business partners for effective research and analytic plans
• Present market insights to business partners and stakeholders that drive business actions
• Conduct keyword research using various tools to inform design, content and coding practices
• Consult with creative, design and development teams to recommend search-friendly standards and best-practices
• Partner with Web Analysts to review key performance indicators (KPIs) across multiple web domains to evaluate existing Web content and experiences

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree
• 5 Years experience in Marketing research, marketing consulting, marketing strategy or as a user of marketing research
• 5 Years experience in writing/presentation, including defending research plans, recommendations and conclusions
• 2 Years experience in planning, execution, and analysis of market research
• 2 Years experience in advanced research methods such as choice modeling and/or segmentation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-directed when confronted with support issues
• Ability to manage details, overall flexibility and efficient work habits

Preferred Qualifications:
• Masters Degree in Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Sociology or Psychology or related field
• 5 Years experience in Marketing research, marketing consulting, marketing strategy or active user of marketing research
• 5 Years experience in Writing/presentation, including defending research plans, recommendations and conclusions
• 5 Years experience in planning, execution, and analysis of market research across wide range of survey techniques with knowledge of sampling and statistical survey analysis
• 5 Years experience in advanced research methods such as conjoint, discrete choice, segmentation and statistical modeling.
• Clear understanding of SEO, affiliate marketing and pay-per-click advertising
• Knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript/AJAX coding practices
• Proficient in the use of Internet MS Excel
