Seeking for a SEO Account Manager located onsite in Bethesda, MD. Candidates must have some SEO experience or knowledge and have a passion for the non-technical aspects of SEO and want to learn more about SEO. An SEO quiz will given during the interview.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for the daily management of 70+ hotels within corporate-based SEO program. This centralized in-house offering provides individual hotels with search engine optimization (SEO) services, and functions as an agency-like model within the Global eCommerce organization. The goal of the program is to maximize traffic and revenue from search engines for participating hotels.

The Account Manager is the primary point of contact with client hotels, and the role is focused on managing deliverables, implementing tactics, and reporting on results against the defined Search Engine Optimization (SEO) offerings.

Delivers against all aspects of the Emerge SEO program offering for a defined set of 70+ hotels within portfolio. This includes:

Ensures effective client communication
o Schedules and leads all client calls throughout year-long enrollment period.
o Holds formal kick-off call. Collects information from newly enrolled hotels regarding needs and expectations, answers questions about the program and ensures appropriate documentation is delivered to begin engagement.
o Monitors the impact of the program versus client goals and proactively communicates with clients about need for changes in strategic direction.
o Addresses ad-hoc client questions and concerns in an effective and timely manner. Escalates issues when needed.

Manages program deliverables within expected timelines
• Develops keyword strategy for each hotel based on property input, search volume and market analysis
• Manages supporting vendors to ensure that all deliverables are met on time, and that on-site copy and metadata are fully optimized to maximize traffic from search engines.
• Reviews and provides feedback on execution of keyword strategy and optimization elements from supporting vendor.
• Presents deliverables and obtains client approval of keyword strategy & optimization elements.
• Optimizes hotel website photos on 3rd party photo sites with embedded links back to the hotel websites
• Identifies placement of links to .com hotel websites from local travel, hospitality, attraction or other appropriate sites.
• Manages submission and renewal process for hotel websites within online directories
• Coordinates with Marketing Managers or Directors of Marketing to create and distribute optimized content articles and press releases to online media outlets

Analyzes results and reports out on progress
• Monitors program results compared to client visibility and business goals on a quarterly basis.
• Creates quarterly report that includes analysis of SEO traffic/booking/revenue trends, as well as hotel visibility compared to competitors against a strategic set of defined keywords. Reports may cover an individual hotel, or a grouping of hotels depending upon client needs.
• Schedules and leads quarterly meetings with clients to communicate program results; provides insights and answers questions about hotel performance in the search engines.

Maintains client satisfaction and retention
• Meets goals as defined by client satisfaction survey and annual renewal targets.
• Proactively identifies when hotels are due for renewal and solicits for re-enrollment. Ensures consistency in service across years for renewing hotels.

Interacts with internal and external industry experts
• Engages in frequent, active engagement with corporate eCommerce team to ensure alignment, pull-through, and two-way communication about the status, performance, opportunities, and issues related to SEO programs and initiatives.
• Attends SEO industry conferences and seminars to increase subject matter expertise.

• At least 2- 3 years experience in an online agency or client services position is required
Skills and Knowledge
• Solid working knowledge of and experience in online marketing fundamentals, search engine optimization (SEO) tactics in particular
• Agency work experience strongly preferred; primarily in a client services/account services role
• Ability to analyze data across multiple reporting sources and create savvy reports detailing trends, projections, etc.
• Proven ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams in support of specific business priorities
• Demonstrates self confidence, energy and enthusiasm.
• Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively and satisfy Internet speed-to-market requirements.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and/or clients.
• Team player who works well with counterparts from various functions/departments and has the ability to influence the work of counterparts without direct reporting accountability.
• Effective written and oral communications skills.

• BS/BA degree in marketing or related field
