SEM Manager

Vitamin T is partnering with a local agency to find an SEM Manager to join their team! This position will work our retail technology client to manage our clients’ CSE and social shopping programs to strategically expand and grow client revenue. The position requires hands-on experience as an SEM/CSE practitioner and includes supervisory duties.

This person will work within the Paid Search team under the Director of Paid Search Marketing to manage clients’ CSE and social shopping programs like Connexity, NexTag,, Polyvore, Pinterest and Houzz to strategically expand and grow client revenue.


-Serve as the primary strategist and point of contact for client programs
-Supervise (hire, grow and coordinate) marketing assistants and future team staff
-Assist with goal definition, customer communication, reporting and problem solving
-Develop, direct, and manage campaigns on behalf of our clients
-Work with clients and internal teams to determine campaign objectives, establish search-specific key performance indicators, and timelines
-Develop bid & campaign budget management methodologies
-Perform in-depth quantitative analyses of marketing campaigns
-Generate marketing performance reports, providing analysis and execute on that analysis to ensure positive ROI where appropriate
-Provide feedback and insight on reports that will be delivered to clients
-Utilize various reporting interfaces and campaign management software as applicable
-Assist with sales presentations and marketing collateral around various programs
-Assist in making strategic business decisions around the product offering: pricing, execution and resources


-A./B.S degree in Business or Marketing preferred
-4 years of experience managing performance based online search marketing programs for a retailer or direct-to-consumer marketer
-Ability to compile and analyze performance data and metrics and make decisions regarding campaign direction based on the analysis
-Strong understanding of online marketing venues, strategies and best practices
-Results-oriented, collaborative work style
-High client empathy
-Excellent oral and written communication skills, solid problem-solving skills, and demonstrated teamwork skills
-Knowledge of search listing providers, 3rd party SEM tools, tracking tools, bid-management systems and keyword development tools


-Google AdWords certification
-Management of contractor, intern or entry-level staff
-Familiarity with e-commerce analytics software to evaluate retail marketing, sales transactions, and customer data
-Familiarity with software as a service (SaaS) business models, Web Services, and basic XML understanding a plus
-Advanced skills in Excel
