Due to increasing growth and expansion, my client are looking an individual to join the Sydney SEM team. The successful applicants will work with leading brands and learn from some of the best Search talent in Australia. As an SEM Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and owning the relationship with the clients within your portfolio and have a thorough understanding of your client’s business including but is not limited to: goals and success metrics, other marketing, seasonality, USP’s, competitors and product set.

Through effective management and client understanding it is expected that a SEM Manager maintains and grows the monthly investment of their client base as well as meets and exceeds client goals and success metrics.

The main tasks of this role are:
1. To build and maintain an efficient and world leading SEM product
2. To build and obtain relationships with third party suppliers that include but are not limited to: search engines, software providers and customised solution providers
3. To work closely with top tier clients ensuring a complete understanding of their goals and to maintain and build solid relationships
4. Manage, retain and effectively train all direct reports

• A Manager is responsible for team motivation, socialisation and development through group meetings, planning sessions and social events (birthdays, celebrations of results) etc.
• A Manager need to ensure that their team members maintain an adequate work-life balance to assist in maintaining high levels of motivation. Regular one-to-ones should be scheduled to keep track on this.
• Managers are also responsible for ensuring that all members of their team are motivated receive credit and reward where appropriate.

Knowledge and skills
• Significant experience in online marketing
• 3+ years in SEM project management, client management and optimisation across a range of industries
• Ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing solid relationships with clients – account management and high level client consultation skills
• Google Adwords Qualified (preferable)
• Significant experience in Project Management and Product Development specifically SEM
• Previous experience of managing a small team (preferable)
• Previous experience of managing budgets and providing effective ROI
• Experience of running or project managing both SEM campaigns
• An understanding of all online channels and awareness of how they interact in order to make up the entire digital marketing mix
• A keen interest to further ones understanding of SEO and interrelationship in SEM and broader digital mix
