SEM Director

My client is looking for an SEM Director in Melbourne to run a Search team and to deliver cutting edge and integrated search campaigns for clients. They will be responsible for the quality of the client team’s search product and lead the search team in strategy and innovation.

The successful applicant will be a seasoned Search practitioner and Leader, ideally from a large specialist team within an integrated media agency environment and be based in Melbourne. They must have 4+ years experience in the SEM industry and have experience using the latest generation bid management tools. Ideally the applicant will also be GAP Qualified and have experience managing teams.

Key responsibilities include;

• Responsible for success of clients’ campaigns through successful management and optimization of search and social CPC campaigns
• Develop Search strategies alongside client teams to ensure they are integrated and deliver upon client objectives
• Analyse and interpret search results to drive future client marketing strategies
• Develop best practice processes for optimizing SEM campaigns. Determine set-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimisation modelling requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of optimization efforts
• Play a lead role in new business pitches when Search is involved working closely with the head of other departments in compiling winning pitch documents/ presentations
• Lead a high performing team to hit and exceed client targets and expectations
