SEM Analyst

Aquent is looking for a seasoned Search Engine Marketing Analyst to assist our client's team with online campaign strategy development, implementation and analysis.

Candidates must have proven expertise in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and demonstrated ability to improve web site performance through trend and data analysis, bid management, ad testing, ad group and keyword hygiene. Individual will aid in directing paid search strategies, implement campaigns and will execute complex reporting related to paid search marketing efforts. Must also have an in-depth understanding of keyword research to maximize click-through-rates and conversions.

The SEM Analyst will also aid in developing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies including content, page development, keyword research and copy-writing and linking strategy. Individual should be well versed in best search engine optimization techniques involving meta tags, page title and descriptions and overall site architecture and practices that generate traffic and revenue.

The ideal candidate should be a self starter who is able to hit the ground running with little on boarding. Looking for someone with strong problem solving skills, self motivated, work well both independently and collaboratively, excel at evaluating data, and have a knack for highlighting opportunities and threats.

Responsibilities
-Develop PPC strategies, campaign budget recommendations and implement campaigns accordingly
-Manage, optimize and report on numerous paid search campaigns
-Provide weekly reporting and analysis to department leaders (Media, Brand, etc) and develop in-depth ad hoc reporting incorporating trends and assumptions to provide recommendations to internal teams
-Continually evaluate new PPC practices and techniques needed to support and enhance marketing programs
-Participate in creating relevant solutions based on analytical findings
-Maintain current knowledge of industry dynamics, trends and opportunities
-Act as an SEO liaison

Requirements
-5+ years of online campaign development, search engine marketing, PPC (thorough understanding of Google and Bing pay-per-click advertising applications) and web analytics
-Strong analytical background and ability effectively evaluate and present complex information
-Experience developing weekly reports, analyzing data / findings and providing insight, direction and strategy
-Excellent project management skills
-Proficient, hands-on skills with Google Ad Words and Ad Words Editor (Omniture and SearchCenter a plus)
-Proficiency with Excel is a must
-Moderate knowledge of SEO
-Must be detail orientated with excellent problem solving skills and able to meet deadlines and track project status
