SAP Transition Manager

Our client is in the process of implementing SAP and the Transition Management team is responsible for driving the “people” readiness and adoption of the new technology and processes by:

  • Addressing the changes between current and future state
  • Engaging the stakeholders at all levels and locations
  • Aligning the organization
  • Training team members, and
  • Measuring our effectiveness in preparing the company

    Part of the TM work is to provide all end users with the system access and training curriculum they need to successfully perform their jobs once we go-live. This is referred to as “Security Role Mapping” and “Training Schedule & Logistics”. As part of the Transition Management Team, the TM Consultant will manage and drive the execution of the Role Mapping and Training Schedule & Logistics deliverables. This will require someone who is detail oriented,
    analytical, collaborative, effective at managing to deadlines, relentless in pursuing information needed to be successful, and can anticipate potential issues to solve them proactively.

    The TM Consultant will partner with the Director of Transition Management (TM), Training Lead, Security team, and Human Resources to in driving the following responsibilities:

  • Role Mapping
  • Training Schedule and Logistics
  • Coordinate with program IT Security team to confirm End User Role Mapping approach. Tools and templates will be provided
  • Direct and oversee role mapping execution by Process teams
  • Direct and oversee mapping of training to jobs and roles
  • Plan and oversee role mapping review process
  • Provide final role mapping reports as input to Segregation Of Duties (SOD) compliance processes
  • Provide final employee to training mappings as input to detailed training scheduling
  • Cross-check role mapping results against aligned roles and responsibilities
  • Ensure maintenance of mappings by process teams through go-live (new/departing employees, security changes
  • Leverage role mapping for security access to also assign end users to training courses
  • Drive planning and execution of delivery logistics for “train the trainer” and end user training programs
  • Work with a network of local “Change Agents” and Deployment Coordinators across locations in North America, Europe, and Asia regions to arrange for local training delivery resources and support remote completion of training logistics tasks.
  • Create high level end user training delivery schedule and drive it through the approval process
  • Create detailed training delivery schedule after approval of high level calendar - load into learning management tool
  • Oversee end user training registration process
  • Support scheduling and logistics for Train the Trainer sessions
  • Support final publishing and distribution of training materials (online, printed)
  • Publish training reports and metrics

    In addition, there is an opportunity to support other Transition Management deliverables such as Workforce

    Transition:

  • Work with Director of TM and HR Business Partner to execute workforce transition action plan
  • Assist in managing the workforce transition plan, including dependencies, resources, timelines, and deliverables
  • Execute assigned activities and monitor execution of activities assigned to others
