Retail Planner

Our client, a Fortune 500 retail company in SF, is searching for a Retail Planner. In this role, you will help create boutique stores inside of a large department store. The role is full time hours, and a 6-month contract.

Key Responsibilities: 

•Use inputs from sizing team to and historical performance to update allocation parameters to optimize store/door sell through 
•Develop accurate inventory flow forecasts that support business strategies 
•Execute allocation strategies to optimize inventory and capitalize on opportunities 
•Recommend and execute exception management and size balancing activities to ensure customer demands are met 
•Conduct quantitative analysis and insights to optimize inventory deployment – monetize new opportunities and identify risks 
•Drive key retail initiative- “Strengthening Outlet” through optimal inventory allocations and by working with cross-functional team to create sustainable processes 

•Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) 


•at least 3 years of experience (preferably in a retail environment) 

Specialized Knowledge/Technical Skills: 

•Technical proficiency with computer software tools and the ability to learn new ones quickly (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, internal Ace applications) 
Decision Making and Problem solving: 

•Strong analytical/problem solving capabilities including the ability to quickly identify and communicate implications from consumer, internal and marketplace information 
•Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously 
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
•Strong listening and interpersonal skills
