Retail Marketing Manager - Germany & Austria

My client is a market leader in 'The Internet of Things', and are currently looking for a driven and passionate person to join their team

It’s an exciting time to join the Company, we are growing rapidly and we’re looking for a German speaking Retail Marketing Manager for a period of 12 months, who will be reporting to the Head of Retail Marketing for Europe. The role is based in London.

The team counts about 40 employees and a variety of different nationalities. It welcomes energetic and driven individuals who navigate at ease in a fast paced and multicultural environment and demonstrate entrepreneurial skills. Working in close cooperation with the Sales team leads, in this position you will be responsible for managing the channel marketing and storefront operations in Germany & Austria, implementing the customer experience across the retail channel.


Responsibilities

● Online and offline retail activities including building quarterly demand generation plans to support the retail growth targets. The person will be responsible for ensuring flawless execution of the brand identity as per the brand guidelines and campaign guidelines in retail.

● Support retail strategy by driving the retail operations (from store tiering, merchandising needs assessment and planning) and managing product launch deployments. The person will be responsible to ensure robust project management with clear work back schedules and required approval gateways to ensure delivery of all projects by deadline, to budget and on brand.

● Build channel advocacy by planning and organising sales training and events. The person will be responsible to facilitate the communication flow between the partner and the HQ training team to cascade the product knowledge to the retail sales staff.

● Support partners and manage vendor relationships to deliver a premium experience at every customer touch point.

● Lead retail data analysis consolidation and reporting at a European level to provide marketing campaigns and merchandising ROI insights.


Requirements

● Proven track record of retail marketing and merchandising execution in a FMCG company

● Ability to cope with high ­level strategy, down to details; strong business analytical skills

● Strong understanding of the importance of brand positioning and product marketing.

● Demonstrable success in tactical problem solving capabilities through concrete initiatives, along with organisational skills

● Strong analytical skills and experience of budgeting & planning activities

● Proficient in MS Excel, Keynote and Google docs

● Excellent communication skills and fluent in German and English

● Frequent travel will be required (30%)
