Retail Marketing Campaign Manager needed for a beloved local company!

This person will be responsible for providing compelling leadership to the marketing department and oversight of marketing programs to strengthen brand identity, promote positive customer relations, drive traffic and maximize the effectiveness of traditional marketing efforts and the efficiency of the department. The primary areas of responsibility will be managing in-store storytelling and visual merchandising, weekly print materials and tracking weekly performance results via internal reporting systems.

Major Responsibilities and Duties Which May Be Considered Essential:
• Collaborate with the Sr. Marketing Manager, Digital to develop the advertising, marketing and promotional plans.
• Develop a visual merchandising strategy and implementation plan to meet business objectives, inclusive of department budget.
• Key area of focus and responsibility will be the ongoing evolution of the in-store look and feel – creating a brand appropriate experience; managing all aspects of signage and in-store messaging and storytelling to ensure visual standards are consistent with the brand and values.
• Collaborate with the Advertising, Buying, and Store Operation teams to define the visual presentation strategy for basic standards, promotions, events, product launches and seasonal floor sets.
• Provides creative insights and collaboration for the Lead Graphic Designer and Designer.
• Actively seeks outside inspiration, follows retail trends and applies personal talent to develop and contribute unique perspectives to the overall display concept and the in-store experience.
• Provide visual merchandising solutions to support business needs through creative problem solving and creative innovation. Designs presentation, product, and sign layout for retail stores.
• Prepares the company’s marketing programs and initiatives for vendor co-op opportunities and programs.
• Key contributor to management of weekly print ad development and proofing process – inclusive of store management communication.
• Prepare, manage and run weekly meetings with marketing and buying groups around ad planning and reporting of ad related sales.
• Manage incoming project request forms for the marketing department and maintain project status sheet with weekly updates to insure exchange of project information, scope, timing, budgets, etc. are met and communicated
• Will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills Required:
• 5+ years of proven experience with visual merchandising and display in a retail store environment.
• 3+ year’s proven visual merchandising or display experience at corporate level and/or in a multi-store environment preferred.
• Experience with the following software tools is preferred: Adobe Creative Suite skills and Microsoft Office programs – on both Mac and PC platforms. Photo database management and Email programs a plus.
• BA degree required.
• Be able to meet tight deadlines and respond quickly to company needs — self-directed.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and written communication skills.
• Able to interpret and disseminate information. Able to prepare basic reports and use the appropriate mode of communication.
• Outstanding listener, creative thinker, decision-making acumen, problem solver, takes responsibility, demonstrates personal integrity & honesty.
• Customer service oriented. Driven to meet or exceed consumer expectations upholding the clients customer service standards. Key attributes include the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department and demonstrate tact, diplomacy in a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public.
• Appreciation for brand identity and market position. Must be comfortable working in a privately held company, where tradition and family heritage is important.
• An outstanding work ethic and must possess excellent leadership ability.
• Works in a fast-paced environment to meet sale deadlines.
• Works with a sense of urgency – is keenly excited and energized by the work and opportunity.
