Position: Retail Marketing Business Analyst

Description
The Retail Marketing team supports the marketing of this Top Tech Company's hardware products through our third party retailers globally (big box retailers/mobile carriers). As a Business Analyst on the Research, Analytics & Insights (RA&I) team, you will provide analytical support for Retail Marketing team executions. The RA&I team collects consumer insights surrounding products supported by the Retail Marketing team, and measures/quantifies the impact of the team’s efforts in the retail environment. You will use your analytical and communication skills to help shape analyses by determining required inputs, mining through data to uncover insights, and telling a story with data that will influence leadership decision making.

Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with marketing and our partner teams (retail operations, product, creative teams) to gather information to execute supporting analyses
- Mine multiple data sources including survey, sales, device usage, and others to determine impact of retail marketing efforts - including sales and brand uplift
- Analyze multiple, rich data sources to develop an overall analytical story
- Develop presentations for multiple audiences, from cross functional peers to executive level stakeholders
- Shape requirements for analyses to help solve business problems
- Form creative ideas around solving problems in absence of perfect complete datasets
- Assist in coordination/ running of qualitative research efforts with external vendors
- Perform ad hoc analyses in support of impromptu executive deep dives / reviews
- Establish reporting dashboards and ensure they are accurate and up to date
- Own analyses and work autonomously with limited guidance

Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a quantitative focus in Business, IT, or Mathematics; or equivalent practical experience
- 4 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with data-based / analytical presentation development and communication
- Experience in an analytical role in technology, telecommunications, or retail marketing
- Proficiency with advanced Excel analytical techniques
- Comfort in sorting through large datasets to glean insights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to navigate a large organization
- Passion for quantitative measurement of business activities
- Be comfortable in a fast-moving organization and be able to quickly shift gears when priorities change
- Be comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity
- Strong experience in Excel

Preferred qualifications
Interest in technology hardware marketing strategy
Experience using advanced analytical / statistical software (i.e. R)
Experience running or supporting qualitative research (focus groups, in-depth interviews, mystery shopping, etc)
