Retail Communications Coordinator

This position supports the needs of the store operations and communications departments and executes communications initiatives for the Retail Division. Communication initiatives include: daily communication to store teams and managing of Store Calendar.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement daily communication to the stores
- Create realistic timelines and follow-up with cross-functional partners to ensure all deadlines are met
- Strong attention to detail to ensure key milestones are not missed
- Coordinate communications with cross-functional teams, field and external vendors
- Draft and post all store communication adhering to Communications Style Guide standards, which ensures a consistent brand voice is used at all times
- Manage the Store Calendar
- Send calendar to cross-functional business partners for edits weekly
- Manage edits submitted by business partners
- Upload calendar weekly for stores to view

Key Relationships:
Retail Operations team, Store Managers, District Managers, Retail Home office team (e.g., Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Marketing), Community Affairs, other home office support functions (Loss Prevention, Accounting, Inventory Control, Finance, Legal, Distribution, Logistics, HR, Construction)

Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor‘s Degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience: Two to four years of retail communications or copywriting experience.

Project Management:
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from strategy to execution.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently while achieving all deadlines.

Problem Solving & Decision Making:
- Demonstrated ability to use business acumen to manage competing priorities drive business results
- Ability to balance support of home office objectives with empathy for competing demands for retail field staff

Working Conditions:
- Position based in the San Francisco Home Office.

- Excellent written and oral communications
- Strong project management skills with track record of successful completion and evaluation of success
- Strong organizational/prioritization skills and attention to details
- Understanding of retail business, store operations, and retail training programs
- Proven ability to create clear communications that drive excellent execution, even for complex business challenges.
- Proven demonstration of exceptional customer service
- Self-motivated and inspiring to others, with collaborative working style
- Ability to work well with a variety of levels and functions within the organization
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
