Our client is looking for a Retail Buyer that comes with prior enterprise level experience with any reputable brand or company, such as: Macy's, Sephora or GAP. This role provides great exposure to the unique world of fashion and buying within the e-commerce sector of retail.

Essential duties and responsibilities to include but not be limited to:
• Drives strategy & key business initiatives for Fashion S&E calendar
- Create, develop & execute business plans for new opportunities
- Maximizing opportunities with best-selling items and events by incorporating both managed seller inventory with unmanaged seller
- Analyze current business trends and execute decisions based on outcome of analysis

• Manage S&E manager team, establish & communicate goals and direction to team members
• Collaborate with AM teams, marketing, planning and analytics to align on strategy
• Establish and maintain direct seller relationships


• Exceptional negotiation skills required
• demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow through on all aspects of responsibility
• ability to multitask and focus in a busy atmosphere, shift priorities if needed
• excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
• high level of proficiency in excel; specifically pivot tables, formulas, and Vlookups
efficiency and comfortable using google docs and experience with box and salesforce is a plus.

• College degree
• 3-5 years relevant experience in planning/buying required
• 3-5 years e-commerce experience required

Assignment details:
Drives strategy and key initiatives for categories. Sources inventory & negotiates pricing. Maintains and grows seller and Account Management relationships. Analyze sales trends and use learnings to identify product opportunities, trends, and offerings which will impact the business and provide results. Drive business based on daily and weekly sales analysis, and competitive analysis.

1. Strong retail buying analytical skills required to identify performance opportunities, issues and correlations.
Data-driven decision maker, with courage to take informed risks
2. Aptitude to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive towards results
3. Previous experience in retail products industries.

Day to day:
Business analysis, supporting sellers, creating best-in-class customer experience, developing Marketplace promotions, and driving unit and GMV growth through timely analysis and action
