Retail Analyst, Visual Strategy Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: 1 Year Location: San Francisco, CA Pay: $28/hour ** A FORTUNE 500 FASHION COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL PROJECT MANAGER, VISUAL STRATEGY TO SUPPORT THE STORE EXPERIENCE TEAM BY MANAGING PRODUCT INFORMATION, INTERPRETING ANC COMMUNICATING BUSINESS PERFORMANCE INFORMATION, MANAGING FLEET CHARACTERISTIC, AND ACTING AS A LIASION BETWEEN SEVERAL FUNCTIONS ** MAJOR OWNERSHIP: • Support initiative planning and execution for department • Support budget planning and reconciliation for department • Perform regular (monthly) analysis to assess business performance by store type and merchandise categories • Perform ad hoc analysis to uncover business opportunities • Provide assortment recommendations for new and remodel stores • Oversee post-Real Estate activity hindsighting RESPONSIBILTIES: INITIATIVE PLANNING & EXECUTION: • Create workplans and calendars to plan for all activities related to major initiatives • Help keep team informed of overall progress of other streams of work of major initiatives, and interactions with the Visual team’s work • Hindsight activities to inform planning for future initiatives BUDGET: • Facilitate detailed tracking of expenses by project to ensure adherence to project budgets • Reconcile project charges against reporting • Build and refine templates to create a preliminary budgets for new projects BUSINESS ANALYSIS: • Analyze overall brand business performance across channels and geographies to identify successes and areas of opportunity and underlying drivers of performance within the Visual team’s control • Assess performance of highest-volume stores to highlight areas of divergence from fleet performance, and drive decision-making as a result • Analyze performance of specific stores to track results of work done, and identify successes and potential changes necessary • Synthesize results, identify relevant conclusions, and create communication for partners in a range of functions to drive changes in behavior NEW & REMODEL STORES: • Assess capacity in proposed new and remodel stores to identify appropriate breadth of product assortment • Trade off potential assortment options to determine optimum initial assortment recommendation • Participate in store opening hindsight meetings to refine processes and suggest future improvements REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s Degree • 2 or more years in a retail environment • Consulting experience a plus • Extremely strong communication skills • Strong analytical skills • Experience distilling relevant insights from large amounts of data • High level of comfort with moderately advanced functions in Excel • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
