This Emerging Technologies Researcher opportunity is a 12-18 months long commitment in the North Dallas area for one of the industries leading CPG companies! Our client is looking for a well-rounded professional who can support this CPG company’s Advanced Research team and their commitment to meet consumer needs for a spectrum of convenient foods and beverages. This team of innovative and technically advanced Engineers and Scientists are leading the way with breakthrough research on new product and processing technologies for both food and beverage. A critical aspect of Advanced Research work is locating external emerging and novel new technologies and vetting their performance against this CPG company’s critical needs to determine if there is sufficient merit and value for further in-depth research.

Did you know that the CPG industry is one of the most innovative, diversified and collaborative industries out there? This particular CPG company’s portfolio includes 22 top name brands that each generate more than $1 billion in annual retail sales. The scope includes both the search for new technologies and cross-industry capabilities for potential reapplication in the food area and then the initial evaluation effort. As an Emerging Technologies Researcher you will collaborate with internal scientists, engineers and external experts in a fast-paced industrial laboratory setting and succeed by utilizing your critical thinking skills to understand the fundamental science of the business combined with a creative imagination and a strong sense of curiosity. You will connect with and leverage multiple sources to efficiently and effectively scan the globe for potential technologies, considering universities, companies, consortiums, publications, patents, individual entrepreneurs, crowd sourcing, technology incubators, etc. You will also establish a good working relationship with these to yield solid leads on new technologies. You will also locate possible technologies that are of interest for at least one of the company’s businesses and perform proof of principle testing to provide a point of view on whether to pursue a more depth research program. You will also lead further internal investigation and testing of any technology brought into the company. This leading industry CPG company is passionate and concentrated on the future, so it is essential to possess a strong ability to ‘think’ independently, learn quickly, solve problems and work well with a team and the end client.
