Research Program Manager

Program Management:

  • Acts as the project manager for research programs, building out and creating resources for programs such as legal processes and vendor management
  • Maintains and refines research programs and initiatives, establishing best practices, next steps, and outcomes
  • Partners with Researchers and other Research Program Managers on program areas
  • Moves initiatives forward, finds resources, raises concerns to appropriate owners early and resolves open issues that prevent progress. Hold the line when schedule or progress is in jeopardy while maintaining respectful relationships
  • Predicts roadblocks and obstacles and establishes meetings or integration points between teams. Prioritize competing needs with good reasoning and creative solutions
  • Coordinates resources across multiple projects and teams
  • Contributes to overall Research Program Management team processes and tools, updating databases and initiating improvements where needed

Research Logistics

  • Partner with Researchers to identify vendors to work with based on team and project needs
  • Own the vendor relationship and manage the process of working with third party vendors to execute on quality research
  • Act as the point-of-contact for the vendor, managing communication, the proposal and SOW process, and ensuring the vendor is aligned with our project goals and the that milestones are being met
  • Guide research planning, collaborating with Researchers, Data Scientist, and vendors to identify ideal locations for research and managing logistics
  • Ensure projects are processed through the procurement and purchasing team
  • Support Researchers in preparing research presentations
  • Travel to research locations when needed to coordinate logistics on-the-ground

General Operations Support

  • Develop efficient processes for working with legal on research projects
  • Develop and maintain processes or systems to work with localization team to facilitate translation of surveys, discussion guides, etc.
  • Partner with the finance team to develop efficient processes for working with vendors on contracts and payments
  • Source and onboard new vendors through procurement
  • Serve as a dependable point-of-contact/link to the Global Research Ops team, leveraging new processes or best practices when needed and relevant
  • Ensure Researchers have everything they need to succeed
  • Proactively raise issues before they are a problem for individuals, suggest and implement solutions


  • 2+ years of experience in research operations, as a producer, project manager, or program manager with a background in operations, supporting teams, and developing relationships
  • Experience working with research / user experience teams preferred, client or vendor management experience a plus
  • Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
  • Successful in fast-paced environment that requires independent time management, task prioritization, flexibility, and keen ability to identify problems and proactively work towards solutions
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with Researchers, potential participants, and businesses


  • Bachelors degree, ideally with administrative component
