Research Program Manager
Duties: Research Program Managers implement global operational systems, connect teams and knowledge, and problem solve operational hurdles to enable Researchers to do their most impactful work. This particular Research Program Manager role will be a contract role, managing operational projects. You'll work closely with Researchers and other Research Program Managers to execute and deliver on clearly defined projects, ensuring the highest quality work is being conducted. The ideal candidate is able to work independently to drive and deliver projects to completion - managing timelines, anticipating project issues and resolving them, connecting and building out resources, and removing barriers to doing great work. You'll source, onboard, and create standardizations and guidelines for domestic and international vendors. You'll also maintain and refine established research programs as needed. The Research Program Manager is an expert in problem solving and multitasking, while building relationships with the team. You'll utilize a full range of organizational and interpersonal skills that help our talented teams operate at their highest and most effective level. This role requires project management experience and broad knowledge of UX research and its impact on product design and development. Excellent communication skills, ability to manage complex logistics, and a highly organized approach are mandatory. This is a full-time contract position based in our Menlo Park office.

Responsibilities:
● Leads several internal projects for the Research Program Manager team, and contributes to other research team programs and initiatives where needed
● Sources and vets new third party research vendors, works with vendors to get rates and capability information, establishes them as vendors and captures all learnings to ensure future project quality
● Builds out our knowledge of vendors, creates standards or references for costs across markets, establishing best practices, documentation, and guidelines
● Moves initiatives forward, finds resources, raises concerns to appropriate owners early and resolves open issues that prevent progress. Hold the line when schedule or progress is in jeopardy while maintaining respectful relationships
● Predicts roadblocks and obstacles and prioritize competing needs with good reasoning and creative solutions
● Contributes to program processes and tools, updating databases and initiating improvements where needed
Skills: Requirements:
● Excellent communication and organization skills, with the ability to multi-task and juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
● 1+ years experience working with UX research required
● Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
● 4+ years of relevant or related Program or Project Management experience, client or vendor management experience a plus
