Research Coordinator

Our client is a large financial institution in Plano, Texas and they are looking for a Research Coordinator to work with their User Experience team for a 6+ month contract. This is 40 hours a week, health benefits and 401K offered.

We have recently created a User Experience Research Lab at their Plano, TX location. The goal is to fully engage our customers in order to radically change how they interact with their money. We are looking for a Lab Coordinator to assist Researchers by managing the relationship with intent leads, research participants and by coordinating the schedule for Experience Design Research (XDR) research.

What you’ll do as a Research Coordinator:

- Assist User Experience Researchers in planning, scheduling, and coordinating research sessions

- Manage incoming research requests and relationships with intent leads

- Manage timelines, coordinate prioritization meetings with Researchers, and ensure logistical

requirements have been met for research sessions

- Assist Researchers in setting up online research studies using survey tools such as UserZoom

- Partner with recruiting vendors to share recruiting criteria, manage progress on recruitment/scheduling, and ensure screening criteria have been met

- Greet research participants, manage sign-in process, and make sure they are properly set up to begin research

- Answer any questions participants might have and make sure they are compensated for their time

What you bring as a Research Coordinator:

- Experience with coordinating projects and timelines and the ability to think quickly, resolve problems, and multi-task

- Experience in a customer service role and excellent oral and written communication skills

- Ability to keep a calm and pleasant demeanor under tight timeframes and sometimes unpredictable environment

- Driven to improve current procedures and make team more efficient in research prioritization and recruiting

- Ideally you have a clear understanding of User Experience and research tools such as Morae and UserZoom (or a willingness to learn)

Basic Qualifications for Research Coordinator:

- Bachelor’s degree or military experience

- At least 2 years of project coordination experience

Preferred Qualifications:

- 3 years of project coordination experience

- 3 years of scheduling experience

- 2 years of experience working with vendors

- 2 years of experience working in a usability lab
