Directs and coordinates activities, conducts analysis and creates meaningful market research reports. Identifies opportunities for development of new concepts for the organization's products and services.

- Work with internal departments, leadership, and members to understand, define, and document research needs and objectives
- Provide regular updates, summaries, and presentations of internal and external research to organization stakeholders in the form of research reports, white papers, articles, blog posts, and formal presentations.
- Determine appropriate research and methodology approaches to ensure the necessary data is captured and business objectives are met
- Create, program, maintain, edit, and test survey instruments
- Create well-designed visual data representations, including: charts, graphs, and infographics.
- Apply qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret and analyze research data, formulate reports, and produce substantiated recommendations and presentations
- Gather secondary research information from industry and outside sources
- Collaborate with the Technology Department/Council to identify, monitor, and research market conditions or changes in the industry that may affect member companies and/or the organization
- Maintain and provide ongoing support for research databases
- Manage vendor and partner relationships by soliciting proposals, effectively communicating research objectives, and reviewing deliverables to ensure objectives are met
- Identify and evaluate possible partnership opportunities that would assist the organization in accomplishing research goals and objectives
- Maintain strong knowledge of the industry on a continual basis through industry publications/forums and examining existing industry data; Stay abreast of new research techniques and technologies to maintain efficiencies
- Assist with general member requests
- Other duties as assigned

- Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, statistics, psychology, economics, or related field required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of statistical analysis, qualitative/quantitative collection design, data mining, data analysis, and reporting experience required.
- Experience in the consumer electronics industry a plus.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
- Proficiency with Survey Monkey or other comparable online survey tools preferred.
- Proficiency with SPSS, SAS, or comparable statistical software a plus.
- Project management experience required.

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret research reports, business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Ability to utilize existing databases through query and analysis for inclusion in general research reports and conclusions.
- Ability to analyze/model financial metrics, business strategies, and valuation parameters.
- Clearly demonstrates the ability to synthesize large quantities of information from research reports, popular press, industry publications, and marketplace data into insights.

- Ability to write research reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, including excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

- Ability to calculate figures and apply statistical principles for analysis.
- Familiar with general accounting practices and database management.

- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Strong ability to think strategically, critically evaluate, and clearly synthesize information.
- Ability to work independently and self-motivate.
- High levels of integrity and ability to manage confidential information.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
