Key skills include:

· Experience in research/account planning, and/or strategic planning, on the agency and/or the client side – ideally at a media owner or media agency.

· Client facing skills will be required as well as a strong analytical background.

· Good level of excel – pivot tables, as well as PowerPoint skills (need to be able to present).

· Willing to be hands on. They will have an intern working with them but they will need to help with the end to end process rather than just the final product

· Stakeholder management

· Strong Online research tools are a must.

Highly motivated Research & Insight Manager to provide maternity cover. This role will be leading the charge to create unique experiences and advertising that will fundamentally change the face of entertainment. The role sits in a fast paced, innovative team which creates, host, sells, and supports advertising on different Advertising platforms.

Role Purpose

The Research & Insight Manager will be responsible for leading Audience Insight across EMEA. The role will involve managing research projects and providing data & insight to help drive Ad sales & support Ad product & services strategy, Campaign reporting, Planning & Marketing for all advertising offerings in the region. This is a high visibility role interfacing with individuals from all levels - from sales support to senior management and clients and requires the ability to drive considerable change in behaviour and practice, via influence and education. The Research & Insight Manager will also manage a research sales support member of the team, ensuring they provide a timely and quality service & assisting them when workload is heavy.

This role reports to the Head of Advertising in EMEA.


Key Accountabilities

• Lead Insight initiatives for Advertising EMEA and ensure the business is equipped with relevant Audience, Market & Campaign Intelligence to drive revenue.
• Manage and/or provide input into Global custom primary research projects & provide support for advertising effectiveness studies.
• Oversee work of an intern – ensure timely responses to specific briefs with information which clearly demonstrates the value of advertising with my client for sales & the provision of audience & vertical insights to support Marketing collateral & events
• Ensure any global research initiatives meet the needs of EMEA and analyse data to produce relevant presentations & stories by market.
• Regularly meet with vendors to ensure the team is kept up to date with new cost-efficient measurement services and methodologies in the market
• Present to agencies, clients & at relevant industry events
• Test new measurement initiatives & provide input into global Audience Insight solutions
• Analyse current & past campaigns to provide enhanced campaign reports and benchmarks for key clients & provide insight for future campaign optimization
• Provide insight on consumer behaviour, advertising spend & market trends within the gaming, digital, advertising & connected TV sectors to aid business planning & strategy.
• Collaborate across other teams to share & maximise insight resources – in particular marketing & research teams in European local markets and the Global Research team, based in the US.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential Experience

• Experience in research/account planning, and/or strategic planning, on the agency and/or the client side – ideally at a media owner or media agency.
• Proven project management, excellent analysis and research skills including experience with both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, as well as the capability to analyse large amounts of data from varying sources and map it to business decisions.
• Familiarity with offline media (e.g. TV) & offline media measurement
• Good knowledge & practical experience in using media research & data analysis systems (e.g. TGI/IMS) & online research tools (e.g. Comscore)
• Commercially aware with customer/client facing experience
• Excellent analytical skills

Technical / Functional Skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly excel and powerpoint
• Ability to determine customer and internal requirements; interpret data and influence development of client and product strategy
• Ability to source data beyond existing resources
• Evaluate research products and ensure MS has the most credible and relevant sources


Personal Attributes / Interpersonal Skills

• Strong organisational skills including ability to multi-task.
• Strongly self-motivated yet committed to a team orientation
• Passion for advertising
• Understanding and experience in console video games a plus
• Identifies the key factors relevant to a decision, quantifies them, and can communicate them to senior staff
• Ability to be detail focused while maintaining a big picture mind-set
• Enjoys working in a rapidly evolving and learning environment.
• Strong communication/interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle ambiguity, juggle many topics at once and prioritize effectively
