We are searching for a strong Release Manager to own and manage project schedule for all document releases. This includes the following activities:
• Coordinate schedule of document releases.
• Create schedules for new and updates to existing documents to meet release deadlines/goals.
• Keep schedule on track and troubleshoot issues with writers and support personnel, including filing service requests with release support personnel.
• Perform release management duties.
• Coordinate checkpoint meetings with Product Units (PUs).
• Provide weekly status updates to manager and attend weekly status meetings. The status report shall include, without limitation:
o Current status
o Blocking issues
o Upcoming tasks
o Summary of work performed
• Operate in an agile/scrum environment.
• Maintain familiarity with Interop tools.
• Participate and be available for consultation, program process review, appropriate protocols development training, and important meetings. This includes, but is not limited to, the following meetings:
o Bi-monthly template committee meetings (on-campus or online)
o Bi-monthly Interoperability Standards Board meetings (on-campus or online)
o Change Tracking process improvement meetings and work sessions
o Ad hoc reference committee meetings (on-campus or online)
o Release coordination meetings
o Triage meetings, as necessary
 Deliver process improvements as defined by manager.
 Notify management of any issues such as potential schedule slips well in advance.
 Participate in project scheduling sessions with manager and partner teams.
 Collaborate with Lead Technical Editor and Lead Programmer Writer to provide accurate time estimates for completing tasks.
 Research future updates for long-term work forecasting.
 Maintain Store inventory and document entries on SharePoint site.
 Be front line for common questions; escalate as needed to manager.
 Coordinate major milestone signoff tasks as directed by manager.
 Participate in preparation meetings for major events.
