Working Job title: Release Manager with possible project management when there are gaps in work.

Brief Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to manage our new project releases. The Release Manager organizes, directs, and manages activities for building and maintaining it services for their promotion to the production environment. The Release Manager may manage large multidiscipline releases in a matrix management organization. The Release Manager directs activities to ensure the services meet quality standards and performance objectives within defined time and budget targets. The focus of these projects will be infrastructure focused (servers, network devices, storage...).

Is this role associated with a project? If yes, please provide a short description of the project:Variety of infrastructure, capitals, new build projects. Anywhere from 1-20 projects at a time.

What is the size of the team this resource will be working with?
11, but support all 80+ in infrastructure

Required Qualifications
• 7- 10 years relevant experience in a software or infrastructure services disciplines..
• A minimum of 1+ years experience as a full-time Release Manager
• Strong project management skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to mentoring, coaching, and leadership.
• Experience delivering one or more products through all phases of the SDLC.
• Very strong communication, collaboration, feedback, and facilitation skills
• Demonstrated mature judgment in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of testing and defect tracking tools and excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-resolution skills.
• Capability to develop and maintain an effective network of relationships with people inside and outside the development group.
• Experience managing mid – large projects.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience leading project teams.
• A technical background in information technology management and strong process knowledge of System Development Life Cycles.
• ITIL v# + 2011 certification

Identifies the communications needs of each stakeholder group in conjunction with business owners and subject matter experts. Translates communications / stakeholder engagement strategies into specific tasks. Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans. (For example, may oversee the organisation's promotional/selling activities to one or more clients, to ensure that such activities are aligned with corporate marketing objectives). Release and deployment (RELM)
Leads the assessment, analysis, planning and design of release packages, including assessment of risk. Liaises with business and IT partners on release scheduling and communication of progress. Conducts post release reviews. Ensures release processes and procedures are applied. Assesses and analyses release components. Provides input to scheduling. Carries out the builds and tests in coordination with testers and component specialists maintaining and administering the tools and methods – manual or automatic - and ensuring, where possible, information exchange with configuration management. Ensures release processes and procedures are maintained.

Information analysis (INAN)
Specifies and applies appropriate analytical techniques to create information which supports business decision-making. Formats and communicates results, using textual, numeric, graphical and other visualisation methods appropriate to the target audience. (Level 5)
