Regulatory Project Manager

Aquent’s SF energy client is looking for a Implementation and Marketing Principal for a 3 month+ contract. Policy Implementation Marketing Principal will:

- Lead a cross-departmental team in responding strategically to the client’s marketing and customer insight regulatory issues that will come before the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC).
- Identify marketing and customer perception related elements of regulatory issues that need management level attention and deliver innovative solutions to support strategic objectives
- Support the creation and advocate for the client’s position in front of the CPUC, other regulatory agencies, and externally parties, both verbally and in writing, by way of formal testimony, witness responsibilities, position papers and data responses.
- Monitor crossovers in regulatory and policy issues related to marketing and customer insight. Ensure consistency of message in external regulatory forums for all CES initiatives.
- Track and provide strategic guidance to ensure that appropriate marketing and insight dollars are requested.

Qualifications:
- BA in Business, Marketing, Public Policy, Customer Experience Management or similar field
- Graduate degree or MBA (preferred)
- 3 years of experience in Marketing, Customer Education and Outreach
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) proficiency
- Ability to thrive in demanding, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work autonomously and analytically
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze customer data and put results in the context of a regulatory position
- Ability to effectively communicate with management
- Strong ability to work with diverse groups of people and lead teams
- Strong sense of initiative
- Experience managing cross-organizational teams
- Project management skills
- Experience working with regulators
